Caroline Taylor, Chief Executive at Essex Community Foundation, has been appointed our new Chair of Trustees, following more than two years as a Board member. Priya Gupta, who joined the Foundation a year ago, is now Chair of the Resources Committee.

Caroline has over 25 years’ experience in the charity sector. She brings strong philanthropic experience and a deep understanding of how place-based giving can bring about long-term, community-led change.

“2026 is an exciting time to take on the role of Chair at Friends Provident Foundation,” said Caroline. “Since I joined as a Trustee nearly three years ago, we’ve introduced a new grant strategy and application process, increased our social investment portfolio, and championed mission-aligned investing in the sector.

“The coming months and years will bring new challenges as we develop an updated strategy for the Foundation, building on ongoing conversations about how best to achieve our vision of a fair and sustainable economy.”

“I also extend our thanks again to Stephen and Kathleen for their dedication, hard work and energy over the last nine years. We wish them the very best for the future.”
