Advisor to the Foundation on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Guppi Bola (she/her) is a consultant strategist focused on building an economic democracy that centres reparative justice. She is an adviser to the Foundation on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Guppi has an academic background in public health, which she uses to focus her strategic thinking on the root causes of social inequality and ill health. She applies this expertise to design intersectional policy and campaigns that will help move us towards a just transition, working alongside social justice leadership globally. Guppi recently released a paper on intersectional policy making with Common Wealth, entitled Reimagining Public Health.

She is a co-founder of Working On Our Power, Europe’s only leadership programme for non-binary, trans and women of colour. And alongside Nonhlanhla Mukayana is co-founder of Decolonising Economics, a collective working to transform the extractive economy for one based on reparative justice. Both projects work to build the political power of people of colour through intersectional policy and practice. She is also an organiser with Wretched of the Earth, part of the collective of organisers in Resourcing Racial Justice, and recently completed a stint as the Interim Director of Medact – her dream job!  You can learn more about her work here and follow her on Twitter @guppikb
